Sponsor & Supporter Information
If you are sponsoring and supporting HPC Days 2026, thank you very much! We would not be able to run the event without you! This page will hopefully include the information that you need to make a success of the event, but if there is information missing please contact us.
If you have any questions, please contact Alastair Basden at a.g.basden@durham.ac.uk.
Attendance & Registration
You are welcome to attend as much or as little of the event as you wish.
The key day is Wednesday afternoon/evening when the sponsor session will be. We expect that most sponsors will arrive on Wednesday and depart on Thursday. However some will likely stay for longer, or even the full week, which is very welcome.
Durham offers plenty of hotel options nearby.
Sponsor Session
The Sponsor Session is on Wednesday starting from 15:00, continuing until 18:00. There will be a 2-3 minute slot to the whole general audience where you should introduce yourself, followed by a 15 minute panel session taking questions from the audience. There will then be a more focused 8 minute slot to a smaller audience of those who wish to come. You can also opt to have a second (identical) 8 minute slot if you wish, please let us know.
You can either present using your own laptop or send us slides in advance. The talk should be aimed at a research audience (non-technical, with some technical ability), and should not be a marketing talk.
Table Top Display
You will have a table top (approx 2x1m) where you can set up a stand. Feel free to bring a banner, and stuff to go on your table, including merch to give away. There will be two chairs. This will be in the coffee/lunch room, so should see good footfall. Should you wish to have more space or chairs, please let us know in advance. If you wish to remain beyond Thursday lunchtime, it will be necessary to move the stand to an adjacent building. We can assist with that if necessary.
Treasure Hunt
There will be a treasure hunt for attendees (including sponsors, if desired) to do, which will encourage interaction with the sponsors. They will need to ask you a question or get information from your stand or presentation to complete the answers, and so help to encourage interaction. This will take place on Wednesday.
Attendees
We are expecting over 150 attendees througout the week, though not all will stay for the entire week.

Parking
If you would like a visitor parking permit, please provide name, car reg details, and the times you’d like the permit for, to Alastair, at least a few days in advance. There may not be enough spaces, so some walking may be required. However, vehicle access up to the venue is possible, for dropping off kit.
Arrival
Upon arrival in Durham, please go to the Mountjoy Centre building entrance where the registration desk will be. From there, head up the half-flight of stairs to the main meeting venue in the Maple Wing of the building. A map can be found
A map can be found here nearby.
If you have requested a parking permit, this should be available for collection at the Stockton Road site entrance (DH1 3LE, not South Road), in the Security Lodge. The security team will direct you to your dedicated parking space. You will also be able to park closer to the venue to unload.
